Abstract

Attributes of God have been the subject of many discussions throughout the history of Islamic theology. Among these attributes are the attributes of God's hearing and sight, which are also mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. This research examines the views of two prominent theologians, Mohaghegh Khofari and Hakim Lahiji, about the truth of God's hearing and sight. Khafri believes in the interpretation of hearing and sight as divine knowledge and considers these two attributes to be examples of God's knowledge of hearing and sight, on the other hand, Lahiji believes that hearing and seeing in God means feeling sight and hearing and is different from divine knowledge. . By examining the arguments of both theologians, this article analyzes and criticizes their views and finally prefers the view that is more compatible with theological and philosophical principles. This research shows that the interpretation of God's hearing and sight as "feeling" faces serious theological and philosophical challenges and can lead to visualization and analogy.
