Abstract

This article analyzes the meaning of life and its relationship with salvation from the perspective of Allamah Muhammad Taqi Jafari, one of the most prominent Islamic philosophers and thinkers. The aim of the research is to explain and examine the deep connection between these two fundamental concepts in the thought of Allamah Jafari, who defines life beyond material life and in line with eternal perfection and bliss. The methodology of this study is analytical and based on the examination of Allamah Jafari's written works and philosophical-theological views, in which concepts such as the purposefulness of life, human agency, and its connection with salvation are discussed. The key findings of the research show that, in the view of Allamah, the meaning of life lies in man's conscious movement towards perfection and divine closeness, and salvation, as the final destination of this path, is the result of man's free and responsible choices in harmony with his divine nature. Also, the emphasis on rationality and self-awareness as means to achieve this goal is a prominent feature of his perspective. Finally, the main conclusion of the article is that in the thought of Allameh Jafari, the meaning of life and salvation are two inseparable concepts that are in a two-way process; in such a way that the search for meaning leads man to salvation, and salvation is the goal and realization of the true meaning of life. This perspective invites man to reflect on his existential identity and responsibilities.
